Mark Gurvis

Chief Executive Officer

Mark Gurvis became CEO of the Ronald S. Roadburg Foundation in February 2022. From 2013 – 2020 he served as executive vice president of Jewish Federations of North America, the number two professional position in the Federation movement’s network organization. In that role he led strategic planning and emergency response efforts, and supervised JFNA’s Israel and Washington DC offices, the planning and research, Jewish education, and leadership development departments, and oversaw operational areas including finance, human resources and IT.

Mark served as CEO of the Jewish Federation of Greater Vancouver from 2002 – 2013. During his tenure the Federation grew significantly in annual fundraising and planned giving assets under management, developed an extensive strategic relationship with the Upper Galilee region in Israel, and dramatically enhanced the Greater Vancouver Jewish community’s profile in and influence within the national Canadian Jewish scene. 

Prior to his tenure with the Vancouver Federation, Mark worked from 1984 – 2002 at the Jewish Federation of Cleveland in a variety of roles, including as associate vice president, planning director, and as co-executive director of the Jewish Education Center of Cleveland.
