Bernard Pinsky, K.C.

Chair

Bernard Pinsky, K.C., is chair of the board and a founding director of the Ronald S. Roadburg Foundation. Until 2021, Bernard was a senior partner and co-head of the Corporate Finance and Securities group at Clark Wilson LLP in Vancouver, BC, where he practiced law for over 34 years.

Bernard has been a leader of the Vancouver and Canadian Jewish communities for over 40 years and has also been an active volunteer for charitable organizations in the wider community.  Some of his many roles include board chair of the Jewish Federation of Greater Vancouver 2005 – 2007; national board member of the Council for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA) 2002 – 2008; vice president and treasurer of Jewish Federations of Canada-UIA 2009 – 2013; treasurer of Congregation Beth Israel, president of the Canadian Zionist Federation, Pacific Region; chair of Federation’s annual campaign; and Vancouver representative on the Canadian Jewish Congress national board. Bernard currently sits on the board of the Louis Brier Foundation. 

In 2012 Mr. Pinsky was recognized for his community service with the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal and in 2014 was appointed as British Columbia King’s Counsel (K.C.) in recognition of exceptional merit and contribution to the legal profession. Mr. Pinsky was born and raised in Winnipeg and has BA and LLB degrees from the University of Manitoba.
